Fish Rubbing 3
Fish rubbing, also known as Gyotaku, is a traditional form of fish printing. In the 1800's, fisherman in Japan would cover a fish with ink and press rice paper onto it. This was copied from an original Gyotaku, the artist is unknown.
Carved on Florida Cypress wood approximately 24"x18" in size and was initially charred in the Shou Sugi Ban style. Weighs about 10 lbs.
